See full gallery on TechnoBuffaloXiaomi’s Mi Note 2 is expected to arrive in July. We’re already expecting great things from the second-generation flagship phablet, but a new report out of China suggests the upcoming device could exceed our expectations.
Fresh rumors from Weibo (spotted by MobiPicker) reveal a whole bunch of exciting details about the highly-anticipated Mi Note 2. It turns out the device could come in three different variants, with the most premium model packing a curved 5.7-inch 2K display. The high-end handset may also sport 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a pressure-sensitive 3D Touch-style screen and dual 12-megapixel rear cameras. All for just 3,499 yuan (about $526).
For a little less, the company is apparently set to offer a flat-screened version of the Mi Note 2 with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and the same dual camera setup for 2,999 yuan ($451). Finally, the cheapest version of Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2 allegedly offers 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a single 16-megapixel rear shooter and a 5.7-inch 1080p display for just 2,499 yaun ($376).
All three versions of the Mi Note 2 will also allegedly offer a hefty 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, a fingerprint scanner, NFC, Hi-Fi audio, and a Snapdragon 820 or Snapdragon 821 chip. So whatever model you pick you’ll still get a solid device.
Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin recently teased plans for a July event where the device could be unveiled. We’re still not expecting the company to offer any smartphones in the U.S., but it’s possible we could be in for a surprise.
