See full gallery on TechnoBuffaloXiaomi seems to release a new smartphone every month, but the company actually has a pretty lengthy product cycle for its flagship smartphones. Now a new report claims the long-rumored Mi Note 2 could arrive later this month, more than a year after the Mi Note Pro was released.
Xiaomi will allegedly unveil the Mi Note 2 on August 25, according to leaks out of China. The device is expected to start at just 2499 yuan (about $375) and sport a metal design with a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3600mAh or 4000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 821 chip, a front-facing fingerprint reader, USB-C and dual speakers. The company may also offer a premium version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for 2699 yuan ($405), and other models will allegedly add a 2K resolution display and a curved screen for even higher prices.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Redmi 4 at the same event, introducing a budget-friendly smartphone with a shockingly big 4100mAh battery. The device may also pack a Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display and a metal design for just 688 yuan (about $105).
There’s a lot of different leaks and rumors floating around at the moment, so we’d treat all these specs with suspicion. A few weeks from now we should get an official look at the new phones, assuming Xiaomi really is planning a big unveiling for August 25.
