See full gallery on TechnoBuffaloLast month Xiaomi expanded its popular Redmi product line with the Redmi Pro, packing dual rear cameras into a budget-friendly phone. Now the company is back with another addition, this time expanding its mid-range phablet series with the impressive Redmi Note 4.
Xiaomi’s latest smartphone features a sleek unibody metal design in silver, gold or gray with a 5.5-inch 1080p display in front and a fingerprint reader in back. The Redmi Note 4 also packs a 4100mAh battery, MediaTek’s latest Helio X20 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs the MIUI 8, a heavily modified version of Android.
There are two Redmi Note 4 models to choose from. You can grab it with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM for just 899 yuan (about $135), or upgrade to 64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM for 1199 yuan ($180). You can always add more storage later thanks to a microSD card slot, but it might be worth paying more for that extra RAM to ensure good performance.
The device will be available from China Mobile starting on Friday, August 26. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed any plans to offer the device outside its home country, but it’s also expected to eventually launch in India where the Redmi Note series is particularly popular.
