The Mi5 may be Xiaomi’s most anticipated phone ever. It’s also one of the most leaked devices of the year, and a new hands-on video appears to show off the Mi5 in action.
The Mi5 video was shared on Chinese social network Weibo. It opens on the device sitting in an elegant wooden dock. A hand then swipes through Xiaomi’s Android-based MiUI software and opens the Weibo app. The phone never leaves the dock, but it still looks pretty great with a white design and metal edges.
A handful of renders also leaked over the weekend, included below, which also show the Mi5 in detail. You can see Xiaomi’s upcoming phone in white, gold, black and pink variants. The home button, which apparently packs a super-fast fingerprint reader, is also on full display.
The Mi5 is rumored to come equipped with a Snapdragon 820 processor, a 3000mAh battery, a Quad HD display, a 16-megapixel rear camera and a reversible USB-C port. Xiaomi has already said it won’t rush to release the new device before it’s ready, though we hope it will still arrive within the first few months of 2016.
