Xiaomi just unveiled a powerful new drone, but the company isn’t slowing down anytime soon. CEO Lei Jun recently confirmed that the long-promised Mi Band 2 fitness tracker will launch on June 7, according to a report from MyDrivers.
The Mi Band 2 is set to be a pretty big upgrade, adding an LCD display where the original model simply offered LED indicator lights. That should make it possible to check your fitness stats and even view incoming notifications from a synced smartphone. The new wearable may also sport a heart rate sensor.
The Mi Band 2 may cost a lot more than its predecessor as a result. The device could be priced as a high as $50, compared to the current $15 model. That’s still a pretty good deal for what you’ll get, but it might be a turnoff for some budget-conscious shoppers.
