It feels like Xiaomi just launched its last flagship phone, but the Chinese company may already be gearing up for another big release. A leaked list of powerful hardware specifications for the rumored Mi Note 2 suggests the device could blow the competition out of the water.

According to a Weibo tipster, the Mi Note 2 will pack either a Snapdragon 820 chip or a brand new Snapdragon 823. It could sport up to 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a pressure sensitive 3D Touch display measuring 5.7-inch across with a Quad HD resolution. The report also mentions a 16-megapixel Sony-made camera with optical image stabilization and a 3600mAh battery.
It’s possible some of the most powerful specs could be limited to a Mi Note 2 Pro. In that case, the standard Mi Note 2 might offer just 4GB of RAM and start at 32GB of storage.
According to earlier reports, the Mi Note 2 might also sport a curved display similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung is apparently ready to sell its flexible OLED to competing firms, which could usher in a new era of curvy smartphones.
It’s been more than a year since the original Mi Note and Mi Note Pro were unveiled, so a follow-up could arrive at any time. Then again, Xiaomi isn’t really known for sticking to a yearly product cycle, and we may still be in for a bit of a wait.
