Google is expected to announce some big news tomorrow at its I/O developer conference. Now it turns out Xiaomi is also set to unveil something new during the event on Wednesday.

The teaser was shared by Hugo Barra, Xiaomi’s global vice president and a former Google exec. It doesn’t reveal much, but the image may provide a few hints on what to expect from the I/O announcement.
The combination of volume controls and what looks like a track wheel suggests we could be looking at some sort of remote. Xiaomi might be in California this week to announce a new Android TV box. In that case, we’re guessing Google is also planning a big update to its TV streaming platform, which the company first announced two years ago at I/O 2014.
Of course, it’s possible Xiaomi could have something completely different planned. Google is expected to hit a ton of bunch topics at I/O, from the latest version of Android to a new virtual reality headset. The Chinese company could easily surprise us with an unexpected new gadget.
